Located on Lopez Island, WA in the historic Joinery building. 


We've been making kimchi and sauerkraut as Kraut Pleasers since June 2015. After searching for a better way to share our kimchi we explored ramen and udon noodle bowls. Serving them all winter at our Little Winter Market we then opened in the spring of 2017 as Setsunai Noodle Bar using our fermenting kitchen as the base. We’ve now moved the fermentation side of things over to our local shared access community kitchen, Taproot.

For lunch we are first come first served and durning the summer months the wait can be up to an hour so please come earlier then you think. For dinner we take reservations through open table. We use this system more as a place holder so we can space things out and make sure we can serve you. I wish we could serve you all faster but we’re a tiny kitchen and labor here on the island is in short supply.
